Full-time and Part-time Positions - OPEN

Description:
Performs standard laboratory analyses for chemical, biochemical, physical and microbiological properties of sewage and biosolids, industrial waste, stream flows and related samples as required.

Required Qualifications
Graduation from high school with knowledge of basic mathematics, chemistry and/or biology. Experience working in a laboratory, performing chemical, biochemical, physical, or microbiological analyses. Previous experience using MS Windows applications, including conducting online research using web browsers and entering data into Excel spreadsheets. Must have valid driver's license. Ability to follow instructions.

Desired Qualifications
Graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in chemistry, biology or related fields.

Typical Duties

• Performs standard biological analyses such as whole effluent toxicity (WET) testing and related plate counts.
• Prepares and standardizes laboratory reagents. Prepares and dispenses routine microbiological media.
• Calibrates laboratory and field instruments/equipment.
• Performs troubleshooting and routine maintenance on laboratory and field instruments/equipment as needed.
• Review and validation of whole effluent toxicity data.
• Project management.
• Performs routine data handling using laboratory and instrument-associated software.
• Uses MS Office applications during routine analyses.
• Conducts field work; as required
• Performs technical training of laboratory personnel.
• Performs other office duties such as filing, invoicing, reporting paperwork, client engagement, etc.
• Any other assigned duties

Compensation: DOQ; retirement plan (full-time),. MUST be able to work weekends and holidays!
